In harrisburg jared will be a voice for hard-working families and will fight for:

- Lower taxes for our families and small businesses;
- Fair public education funding to prepare our students for the future;
- Keeping extremism and exclusion out of our schools and all books in our school and community libraries;
- Reproductive healthcare and the right to choose;
- Expanded access to mental health care for children and adults;
- Bipartisan, commonsense solutions to the issues facing our district and state.

Meet jared...FAMILY MAN, EDUCATOR, COMMONSENSE PROBLEM SOLVER
Jared is a lifelong Pennsylvanian, who was born and raised in a small town in Berks County. He attended Fleetwood Area School District and went on to achieve his Bachelors of Science in Technology Education and then his Masters of Technology Education, both from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Jared has been an educator at Fleetwood Area School District for over 25 years and holds his department's chairperson position over their elementary, middle and high schools.
Jared comes from a family of public service. Jared's father was a Reading City police officer. Jared's mother is a retired nurse. Jared's stepmother was a longtime school board member for Fleetwood Area School District. Jared's sister is also a nurse. Jared's grandfathers and uncles were either military, police officers, or firefighters. He’s held many offices within his International and Pennsylvania educators’ associations and has been actively involved in volunteering to develop and edit PSSA Science testing for our middle schoolers throughout PA.
He understands our desire to retain and revitalize the Northeast Lehigh Valley area, including parts of Moore Township, Bushkill Township, The Slate Belt, and Forks Township, as a local gem and wants to know what matters to you.
Jared is a devoted and loving father to daughter Rori and stepdaughter Elizabeth. Both teenagers are part of the LGTBQIA+ community and 2024 high school graduates of Nazareth Area High School. Jared was a widower who was married to his college sweetheart, Rebecca, for over 20 years and lost her to pancreatic cancer. They lived in Fleetwood until Rori was a year old and then moved to Macungie to be closer to Rebecca's teaching position in the Allentown City School District. In June 2022, Jared moved to Bushkill Township in Northampton County to live with his fiancée, Nicole, who helped bring the love and support of a strong, independent woman back into his life after the loss. Nicole and Jared were married in June 2024.
Jared, Nicole, Rori and Elizabeth live in a multi-generation home that includes Nicole's mother, Carol. Their pets are "Tricky," a Russian Blue cat who Rori rescued, "Indy," a large Shiba Inu, and "Mitzi" a small Lhasa Apso.
