Voters deserve to know where their elected representatives stand on the issues affecting our communities.
This page provides links to official Pennsylvania legislative records and public statements concerning three important issues: data center development, public education funding, and financial assistance for our fire companies.
We encourage residents to review the sources and draw their own conclusions.
Data center development raises important questions about electricity costs, water consumption, local infrastructure, and the impact on surrounding communities.Several bills introduced in the Pennsylvania House address these concerns:
HB 1834 — Data Centers and Consumers
Proposes regulations addressing energy requirements, utility oversight, and consumer protections related to commercial data centers. Read HB 1834
HB 2246 — Water Usage Reporting
Addresses water resource planning and reporting requirements for covered data centers. Read HB 2246
HB 2151 — Local Data Center Ordinances
Provides for assistance to municipalities developing ordinances governing data centers. Read HB 2151
Each official bill page includes legislative history and available voting records.
Jared's Position
I believe we can consider responsible economic development while protecting our communities, water resources, farmland, quality of life, and property values, and keeping utility costs affordable.Development should benefit the communities where it occurs, not place unreasonable burdens on residents.
In 2023, Pennsylvania's Commonwealth Court ruled that the state's public education funding system violated the Pennsylvania Constitution. The decision created an obligation for state government to address longstanding inequities in how public schools are funded. The 2025–26 state budget included additional funding intended to help address those disparities.
Ann Flood's Public Statement
On November 14, 2025, Representative Ann Flood issued a public statement explaining her opposition to the General Appropriations bill. She stated that she could not support the $50.1 billion spending plan because she considered its overall spending level too high. Her statement also expressed support for certain education investments and other provisions included in the budget.

Jared's Position
I support increasing Pennsylvania's share of public education funding so that local taxpayers are not forced to carry such a large share of the burden through property taxes. Our public schools deserve adequate, equitable, and predictable funding. Students should have access to a quality education regardless of their ZIP code, and homeowners deserve meaningful property-tax relief.
Pennsylvania's fire companies face growing financial challenges, rising costs, and declining volunteer participation.
HB 2446 — Fire Company Transformational Grant Program
This legislation proposed establishing a grant program to help fire companies modernize equipment and facilities, support personnel needs, and strengthen their ability to serve communities. The House passed HB 2446 on June 8, 2026, by a vote of 105–96. Read HB 2446 and its official voting record
Jared's Position
I support financial assistance for fire companies facing challenges like declining volunteer participation and rising costs. Our firefighters provide an essential public service, and we must ensure they have the resources needed to protect our communities.
